Life Songs was a series of concerts of the songs of John Pattison presented with four singers and four musicians in the concert room at Scarborough Library.

The singers were, Ava Noble, Sophie Norris, Jerry Penrose and Jim White. The band was Paul Nash - Guitar, Liam Watt Pattison - Bass, Iain Hunter - Drums and John Pattison - Keyboards.

Ben Vickers was responsible for sound engineering and recording and Lighting was by Jim Wells.

Seventeen songs were performed from a back catalogue covering four decades. The two featured here were originally written in the 1980s as ballads and are presented as instrumentals for this album.
